Grammy-winning producer and melodic techno mainstay Cassian has every reason to celebrate — his latest single “Love Parade” alongside Yotto has officially reached #1 on Beatport, capping off one of the most remarkable success stories of the year.
In a recent interview, Cassian revealed he found out about the news while winding down in Los Angeles. “I was checking my phone before bed and got a text from Yotto — it was already morning in Finland. He just said, ‘Well, well, well.’ Ended the day on a high note,” he recalls with a smile.
From Friendship to Global Hit
The collaboration between Cassian and Yotto traces back to their strong personal and creative bond, first established through their 2020 ‘Rogue’ EP featuring “Grains” and “Inter.” Their synergy evolved organically — “We clicked as friends easily, and always respected each other’s music,” Cassian explains. “It started with me remixing his record ‘Nova,’ then he remixed my track ‘Imagination.’ Eventually, we just started making music together in L.A. — and that became Rogue.”
Reviving a Classic
Their 2025 hit “Love Parade” breathes new life into Da Hool’s 1997 anthem “Meet Her at the Love Parade.” Initially, it wasn’t meant to be an official release at all. “It started off as a bootleg,” Cassian says. “I made it for my sets, never thinking it would get released. I just wanted something that resonated on the dancefloor.”
But the track took on a life of its own. DJs began sharing it organically, passing it between sets and stages — “like the old days,” Cassian says. “No promo, no plan — just word of mouth.”
The Moment It Took Off
The turning point came during Ultra Miami, when both Anyma and Solomun played the track to massive reactions. Cassian admits he didn’t fully grasp its impact until Tomorrowland, where he finally saw firsthand how global the support had become.
From the Dancefloor to Quantum Echoes
Ultimately, “Love Parade” found its home on Anyma’s ‘Quantum Echoes, Pt. 1’ compilation, a release that united many of the melodic scene’s leading names. “Anyma believed in the track from day one,” Cassian shares. “He also managed to get Da Hool’s personal blessing — and that was the most important thing before releasing it.”
What’s Next
Cassian isn’t slowing down. As he prepares for his largest-ever U.S. headline show, he’s also gearing up to drop a brand new single — “A Feeling I Miss” featuring Matt Ryder — on October 31st.
“This one bridges my roots as a songwriter with the club world I live in now,” he explains. “It’s made for the dancefloor, but also carries emotion — something people can feel beyond the club.”
