Spotify’s Loud & Clear Report Highlights Global Breakthrough of Egyptian Artists

On the occasion of World Music Day, Spotify unveiled its Loud & Clear report in Egypt for the first time—revealing the remarkable growth and international success of Egyptian artists on the platform.

According to Spotify, royalties paid to Egyptian artists grew by 100% in 2024, and have increased fivefold since 2022. Even more impressively, over 80% of those earnings came from listeners outside Egypt, proving that local talent is resonating across borders like never before.

The data also shows that Egyptian music is capturing new audiences globally: 480 million first-time discoveries of Egyptian artists were made in 2024 alone. Furthermore, more than 90% of royalties went to independent artists or labels, reflecting the rise of self-managed talent and grassroots creativity.

Over 80% of Spotify Egypt’s Daily Top 50 tracks in 2024 were by Egyptian artists—another strong signal of local dominance and cultural pride.

At the event held in Cairo, Spotify celebrated this momentum with industry leaders, artists, and media websites—including Yalla Techno, proud to be part of a conversation that empowers the future of music in the region.

The Loud & Clear initiative is part of Spotify’s commitment to transparency, breaking down how streaming revenues work and where they go, aiming to empower artists with knowledge and tools to thrive in the digital music economy.
