Danish electronic visionary Kölsch unveils KINEMA — a breathtaking follow-up to his acclaimed 2023 LP I Talk To Water. Described as “an album destined for the stage,” KINEMA will come to life during Amsterdam Dance Event, where Kölsch debuts his new live concept, Kölsch and the Machine, on October 23.
“This show reimagines my sound through the raw, analog beauty of modular synthesizers,” Kölsch explains. “For the first time ever, I’ll be bringing key parts of my personal studio setup on stage. It’s not just a performance — it’s a deep, intimate journey into the way I create music. At the heart of this project is a simple but powerful idea: I am inside the machine.”
The ten-track album, titled after the Greek word for “movement,” flows with cinematic elegance — blending emotive melodies, orchestral textures, and driving techno rhythms. Collaborations with CamelPhat (“Waste My Time”) and Bonn (“Sad Makes Me Happy”) add subtle contrasts to an otherwise introspective, deeply personal record.
Following its ADE premiere, Kölsch and the Machine will tour Berlin, London, Paris, Antwerp, and Madrid, bringing KINEMA’s immersive sound and vision to audiences across Europe.
