By Marco Carola has delivered a focused new edit of Nic Fanciulli’s “Lalo’s Groove”, released through Saved Records on October 24, 2025. The collaboration brings together two artists closely associated with groove-led house and long-form club sets.
A dancefloor-first rework
Carola’s version keeps the record’s central groove in the foreground while tightening its drums, bass pressure and arrangement. Rather than turning the original into an entirely different track, the edit is built around small changes that increase tension and give DJs more room to work with it in extended sets.
The result fits Carola’s established approach: controlled, hypnotic and driven by rhythm instead of oversized breakdowns. It is designed for late-night rooms where subtle changes can have a bigger impact than obvious drops.
Part of Saved Records’ 20th anniversary
The release also formed part of Saved Records’ 20th-anniversary celebrations. Founded by Nic Fanciulli, the label has built its identity around functional house music, international collaborations and records made for club systems.
Fanciulli described Carola’s involvement as a full-circle moment connecting collaboration, authenticity and groove—the values at the centre of the label. The edit therefore works as more than a standalone release: it links two long-running careers and marks an important chapter for Saved.
