Amelie Lens has officially announced her long-awaited debut album, AURA. It is set for release on September 4 via her own EXHALE Records imprint.
The Belgian techno powerhouse also shared the album’s lead single, our frequency, offering the first glimpse into what she describes as her most personal and honest body of work to date.
AURA Arrives Ten Years After Exhale
The release carries major symbolic weight for Lens. Notably, AURA arrives almost ten years after her debut track, Exhale. This track was released in 2016 and helped mark the beginning of her rise in the global techno scene.
The 11-track album will be released digitally and as a double LP pressed on blue and white vinyl, making it both a major artistic statement and a milestone moment for her EXHALE universe.

Built For Festivals, Clubs, And Personal Connection
According to Lens, AURA was crafted with both festival main stages and underground club floors in mind. The album combines driving techno rhythms with her own vocals, while reflecting the emotional and physical journey behind her career.
For Lens, the album is not only about sound, but about the connection between artist and crowd.
“AURA is my story. It’s about the connection between the crowd and me,” she shared. “Music has always been my escape, my way of turning my emotions and energy into something new.”

From Small Clubs To Global Stages
Lens also described the album as a reflection of her full journey — from disappearing into nightclubs as a young fan, to playing small local venues, driving herself through the night for gigs, and eventually standing on some of the world’s biggest festival stages.
The album also touches on her evolution beyond the DJ booth, including becoming a mother, building EXHALE, and learning how to balance personal life with the intensity of global touring.
In her own announcement, Lens wrote:
“Can’t believe I’m saying this… I am releasing my debut album AURA on the 4th of September. This is the most honest version of myself I’ve ever shared.”
A New Chapter For Amelie Lens
Over the past decade, Amelie Lens has become one of the defining names in modern techno, building a sound and identity that helped shape a new generation of harder, high-energy club music.
With AURA, she now moves into a more expansive chapter — one that looks back at where she started, while pushing her sound and story into a full album format for the first time.
AURA is out September 4 via EXHALE Records. The lead single, our frequency, is available now.
