Purple Disco Machine has announced his fourth studio album, COSMOTROPIA, alongside a new single and plans for an extensive European live tour. Notably, the announcement marks the arrival of the Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA era for fans.
GORDO Wraps Up Six-Week TARAKA Residency at Pacha Ibiza
The German DJ and producer will release the album on April 30, 2027, through Columbia Records. The official pre-order is already available. Meanwhile, the current Apple Music listing shows a 13-track project. This highly anticipated project draws attention to Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA with every detail.

Cosmic Disco Meets ’70s and ’80s Rock
Purple Disco Machine has described the album as a journey back to the records his parents played while he was growing up in Dresden. Furthermore, COSMOTROPIA highlights the Purple Disco Machine vision as he blends nostalgia with modern dance music.
Purple Disco Machine – Test My Luck
The project draws inspiration from artists including Jean-Michel Jarre, The Alan Parsons Project and Pink Floyd, connecting their cinematic electronic music influences and progressive-rock influences with his own modern disco production. These influences are central to the Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA creative process.
Rather than presenting the album as a simple continuation of Paradise, Piontek is developing a separate identity around COSMOTROPIA. The title, artwork and musical influences suggest a retro-futuristic environment shaped by vintage synthesizers and live musicianship. Moreover, the songwriting is dancefloor-focused. In fact, the distinct artistic direction reflects the synergy between Purple Disco Machine and COSMOTROPIA throughout the album’s concept.
The producer also reunited with several longtime collaborators during the recording process. Songwriters involved in the sessions include Ásdís and Theo Hutchcraft of Hurts, although a complete list of featured performers has not yet been revealed. This collaborative spirit defines much of the creative energy behind Purple Disco Machine’s COSMOTROPIA sessions.
‘Test My Luck’ Introduces the Album
The campaign begins with “Test My Luck,” a new collaboration featuring British singer MEEK. Setting the tone for the Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA album, this track showcases the new musical direction.
Released alongside the album announcement, the single combines warm keyboard lines and polished disco production with an ’80s rock influence. MEEK’s vocal performance gives the track a direct pop centre. Importantly, this does not remove the rhythmic identity associated with Purple Disco Machine’s biggest records. Clearly, each new element supports the launch of COSMOTROPIA by Purple Disco Machine.
Piontek has explained that “Test My Luck” was the first song created for the album. It became an important starting point for its wider direction. As such, the single acts as a key moment for Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA enthusiasts.
The record is available now across streaming services. It is accompanied by an official visualiser through Purple Disco Machine’s YouTube channel. This visualiser adds to the early buzz for COSMOTROPIA and further positions Purple Disco Machine’s latest work in the spotlight.
A Full Live Tour Arrives in 2027
Purple Disco Machine will bring COSMOTROPIA to the stage during autumn 2027 with a full production featuring a live band, vocalists and dancers. The excitement for Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA extends into these live performances.
The first announced German concerts begin in Cologne on October 8 before continuing through Leipzig on October 14, Munich on October 15, Berlin on October 28, Hamburg on October 29 and Stuttgart on October 30. Ticket demand is already high for the Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA tour dates.
More European dates are expected to follow. The fan pre-sale is already open, while the general ticket sale begins on October 7. Undoubtedly, this tour reinforces the connection between Purple Disco Machine and COSMOTROPIA for audiences across the continent.
For an artist whose international success has connected disco, house music and mainstream songwriting, COSMOTROPIA represents an opportunity to expand that sound into a larger audiovisual world. Moreover, it offers a complete album experience. The scope of Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA stretches beyond simple genre boundaries.
The complete tracklist and additional collaborators remain under wraps, but “Test My Luck” provides the first clear introduction to the album’s retro-futuristic direction and modern disco character. So far, fans can anticipate an immersive experience with COSMOTROPIA from Purple Disco Machine in 2027.
COSMOTROPIA will be released on April 30, 2027. The dynamic collaboration of Purple Disco Machine COSMOTROPIA will soon be available worldwide.
