Gorgon City have announced their sixth studio album, Aether, marking one of the most significant changes in the British duo’s recording career.
The album will arrive on November 13, 2026, through Gorgon City’s own REALM Records. It will be their first independently released full-length project. Before this, they issued five albums through labels connected to Universal Music Group.
For Kye Gibbon and Matt Robson-Scott, the move places the creative and operational direction of a complete album directly in their hands.

An Album Created Without Outside Pressure
Gorgon City described Aether as a project that developed naturally while they worked with collaborators from different parts of the world.
According to the duo, the production process was free from external pressure. This allowed them to concentrate on writing music they genuinely wanted to make. That freedom appears to be central to the album’s identity. Furthermore, it shaped the decision to release it independently.
The official pre-save page is already live. Meanwhile, Apple Music currently lists Aether as a 12-track album. It follows 2024’s Reverie. This continues a prolific period for an act that has now released three studio albums in four years.
‘Only Love’ Arrives Ahead of the Album
The album campaign will continue on October 2 with “Only Love,” featuring singer-songwriter Caroline Byrne.
Byrne has already developed a strong working relationship with Gorgon City, appearing on “Run It Back” and “All That You Need.” Her return suggests that the duo will continue balancing club-focused house production with the emotionally direct vocal performances that have shaped much of their catalogue.
The previously released “Oracle,” featuring Jem Cooke, is also listed in the album’s current digital metadata. However, a complete publicly announced tracklist has not yet accompanied the initial reveal.

REALM Records Moves to the Centre
Gorgon City launched REALM as a platform for house music. Moreover, they have used the label for singles, club releases and their Enter the REALM event concept.
With Aether, REALM becomes the primary home of a Gorgon City album for the first time. Their previous records—including Sirens, Escape, Olympia, Salvation and Reverie—were released with major-label partners such as Virgin EMI and Positiva.
The change is more than an adjustment to the logo printed on the release. In addition, independent operation can give the duo greater control over timing, artwork, promotion and the wider presentation of the project.
For established electronic music artists, that control can be especially valuable. This is because album campaigns must operate alongside touring, festival performances, DJ sets and direct communication with fans.
Gorgon City Prepare Their Live Return
Aether will arrive shortly before Gorgon City return to their full live electronic performance format for the first time since 2019.
The duo are scheduled to perform at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on November 27, followed by London’s Alexandra Palace on November 28. Both headline shows have been described as sold out.
By connecting an independently released album with the return of their live production, Gorgon City are beginning a new creative phase built around greater ownership of both their music and its presentation.
Aether will be released through REALM Records on November 13, with “Only Love” featuring Caroline Byrne arriving on October 2.
